. the fire began after 11 last night on bridgeport court on the city's west side. the san jose fire department put out the blaze and then discovered the bodies of a man, woman, and child. >> they will upgrade the alarm and to have some personnel in place. we had multiple rescues in the middle of the night, no people are sleeping and we need to get our resources. >> three others, including the officer injured were hospitalized and the fire displaced 56 people from the building. investigators are still looking into the cause and. >>> more than 3 dozen people are without homes this morning and the fire broke out after 9:30 yesterday morning on 23rd street and quickly spread to nearby buildings on cap street. the firefighters worked for two hours to contain it. five multiunit buildings were involveed and three appear to be a total loss. nobody was injured and again, investigators are trying to determine the cause. >>> and the former owner of the mountain winery was killed in a home invasion and the police say lucas anderson, javier garcia, and deangelo austin were arrested over the pas

unit on bridgeport court was fully engulfed in flames. kron 4's reggie kumar is live at the scene. reggie you've been with family members of the victims today? what a terrible tragedy for them. >> reporter: vicky. vannessa pulido, her two kids and boyfirned saved themselves by jumping out of the second floor window of the unit. she says she could hear her aunt, who died in the fire screaming for help. bulmaro and marina pulido maldonado and their four year old grand-daughter kyra chavez died in saturday night's fire. they were among eight family members who lived inside this now burned up three bedroom apartment in west san jose. vanessa pulido her two kids and boyfriend also lived there. she says they barley escaped the intense flames. pulido says she will never forget hearing her aunt screaming for help. she says her boyfriend quickly jumped into action and saved their lives. >>> when i opened the room door, we saw a whole bunch of black smoke and fire when i opened my door i heard my aunt scream, i heard her say something, but everything happened so quick i couldn't see her. sl

into bridgeport, connecticut and once you start heading to upstate new york, it's accumulation. we're talking about a foot or more for upstate new york, 3 to 6 for places like massachusetts, worcester and the berkshires. the pocono mountains will see about 6 inches of snow and into northwestern new jersey you're still looking at snow as well. this is a strong area of low pressure, it will work its way across the northeast. the cold air coming in behind it will help enhance the heaviest snow across the great lakes and extreme northern new england. we're also experiencing some bitterly cold temperatures right here in the south. this morning it's 35 in atlanta, 33 in birmingham. the cold air is here. for southerners this is a big deal. we're not used to this cold weather. back to you. >> none of us are. bonnie schneider, thanks so much. >>> the storm has done considerable damage in the southern states. take a look at incredible video we have from a surveillance camera. this is from a walgreens in mobile, bomb bomb. this is from a walgreens in mobile, alabama. >> i've never been in a war zone but
